Why DragonRealms?

I started DR in June of '99, at the time I was working on a helpdesk at a university in Texas. Techs could do basically what they wanted when not on a call or answering SEU and ID-10t questions. The only exception was if it was a game, it could not be GUI. (Couldn't have people walking by the office and see a game on the screen) I found a text based MUD, and the game goes on...

Why Chestham Burger?

I named Chestham after a combination of things, one was a menu for a local restaurant (Chester's) that I had hanging on the wall next to my desk. I didn't want to call him Chester, but that made me think of Lewis B. Puller. I didn't want to name him Chesty either, so I thought adding -ham at the end made it sound more ye olde English. (had I known there were chests in the game, sheesh) Burger was borrowed from German, meaning of the people.

Who is Chestham Burger?

Paladin of Chadatru, Servant of Rutilor, at your service. As for more about me, I was married to a Paladin, Shandia Quantid, who left the Realms. I later remarried to a War Mage, Rosalyie Weckham, who has also left the Realms. Our son from my second marriage has also left. Twice widowed, and without any immediate family to care for, I again wander Zoluren. Assisting those whom I can, defending the place I call home, and occasionally trying to rid Elanthia of trolls.

Only Chestham truly knows what this is.  With that, let the list begin...

Nisondra ~ The first person I truly met IG. One day we decided to go get some favor orbs (although I didn't need one, Chestham was still first circle, didn't know that then). On the way back from the old temple ruins to the Guild, we walked into an invasion. * Chestham was just struck down* * Chestham was just sliced in half* :-o  I hate Gargoyles.

*Portense ~ I had seen Port in the Guild before, but the first time Chestham really met him was after finding his way out of the temple ruins. I had found my way bank to the bank. There was Port. I asked him to help me get back to the Guild past all those Gargoyles. Port is the reason Chestham started training both brawling and Light Thrown.  After watching him in a spar using nothing but his stuffed gerbils, and don't make fun of him and Pookie. ;p

*Port walked the starry. He decided to retire. It happens to everyone sooner or later. I'll miss seeing him in the Realms.

Redarch ~ For telling me about Sablina's, and for always having an answer then and now.

Daython ~ Two words, forged gauntlets. Back when I was young and confused about the Realms, Daython came into the Guild and asked if anyone needed some gauntlets. I said yes. He said I had to help him forge them. I said okay. Turned out I was to young to go into the Forge, but he made them for me just the same.

Bistro ~ Bistro the box popper. "I always got time for one more bro." One heavy lizard to drag when dead. :p

Raidusk ~ The other box popper. I could always find one of these guys to help me out with opening my boxes.

Creast ~ Two things come mind; 8 hours of listening to you teach teaching so you could break 200, and the first Ride I ventured out on. Died twice that day, but it was fun.

*Creast has since gone into retirement.

Teilnsar ~ Every Paladin should have a soulstone. Mine came from Teilnsar, who also took the time to explain it to me.

Drongol ~ The Guild's black hole of happiness. His bark is worse than his bite.  But if you ask him, he'll give you an answer in his own unique way.

Glemm ~ You're one twisted Toggy. But you tuned me into the CDL. Hope you make it back to where you were once before.

Ruslip ~ The self-proclaimed fat an' ugly dwarf. I used to see Ruslip only when I was arriving and he was leaving, or vice versa. But since we're both on the same side of the Pond these days, we run into to each other quite often.
